As I sit in my lounge on this beautiful clear night,
I see my horses grazing at my home to my delight.
Though many hearts out there are broken and can no longer see the light,
I hope that you all can feel our love that we are shining for you so bright.
Words will never express the pain and suffering Cyclone Gabby has caused,
But our communities are coming together to help fix what’s mine and yours.
We are already seeing this across the country from Northland to Gore,
Know you are in everyone’s hearts as we see you are shaken to your core.
From bandages to covers and to hay and hard feed,
Please just let us know whatever it is you so really need.
We see the news full of photos and people stricken in grief,
It really is not something we can understand but we hope to bring you some relief.
And although we are all processing there is still work to be done,
As it won’t ever be over till we have found every last one.

To all the amazing humans out there that are coordinating the supplies to the regions that need it, you are incredible.
My heart goes out to all the horses (other animals and humans) that have lost their lives, are missing, injured and also to those that have been reunited - you give everyone hope. 🤍 xx
